Don "The Professor" Regan - guitar, b. vocals

Prof

They call him The Professor. We call him Don Regan. His origins are shrouded in mystery. Was he raised by guitar-wielding monks in the Tibetan Himalayas? Did he sell his soul at the Crossroads? Was he the child of gypsies, learning Flamenco guitar (and other arts) from vagabonds? There are rumors of a childhood spent deep in the Bayou, honing his blistering guitar skills deep in the swampland.

Is that really Al Capone's zoot suit?

Two things we do know... he's one scary guitar player and he was Tom's childhood guitar mentor.

Actually... we know a few other things. He went to Manhattan School of Music, majoring in guitar. He studied with Classical guitar great, Manuel Barrueco and jazz legend, John Abercrombie. He has been a fixture in the greater New York area session and live music scene for a number of years, and he joined Friday's Child's new lineup shortly after Rob Grosso, in July 2004.

Don's textural approach and flawless technique have become an integral part of Friday's Child's live sound. Long-time friends, Don and Tom together have expanded Friday's Child's guitar element to a much jammier live experience.

The Professor will post his words of wisdom (and some other words, too...) to this, his page, on a periodic basis. Click here for the Professor's most recent musings.

Don is accepting New Jersey students through The Music Shop in Parsippany. Visit their website for a detail of their services.
