Child, relative to the band's 2005 appearance at the Florida
Music Festival.
"Here
is an album that music lovers have been waiting for. The "In
A Word" album reflects Friday's Child songs, combined
with a smooth transition to the new lineup. Tom's lyrical
style is surreal. This makes you think, and it is combined
with fantastic melodies. Forceful vocals and the best musicianship
have made this project a success. Friday's Child will be a
force to be reckoned with within the music industry."

"They're
a great band, what more can I say. This is another great CD,
after 'Boy Without a Name' , 13 and their Live CD. They're
raw and have a lot of energy. The songwriting skills of Tom
Walker are probably one of the best out there..... pity that
the mainstream media has missed out on this great band. This
band is what the music scene needs today."
Great Band, September 2, 2005
Reviewer: M. Muhsin (NJ)
"Finally
there's a new band that can actually write songs! I got this
CD about a week ago, and I haven't stopped listening to it.
Most of the new stuff out there sounds the same not only band
to band, but song to song. These guys have a unique sound
as a band. It is acoustic guitar driven, but very powerful.
Sort of a stripped down Dave Matthews Band vibe with a harder
sound like early Live. Each song is unique as well. There
is obviously no "formula" these guys use when they
write. You have a song like "Flypaper" that has
a bouncy, raw sound, "Lions Fall" that is majestic
and moving and "Blood Moon" that has a "poppy"
feel, just to name a few. They have a couple earlier CD's
that I just ordered. I can't wait 'til they arive."

"The
boyz from Jersey were back in town, and rocked out live in
the studio once again. They busted in with a healthy dose
of new tunes, and a few of their old rockin' classics. Their
new acoustic set showed these guys can't be pigeonholed. Always
a favorite with the listeners, TOM WALKER, RICK IPPOLITO and
DAVE DRZEWIECKI always lay down a solid, tight show. Look
for their new cd, coming out soon!"

"Friday's Child recently performed on the Songwriters
Network, an Inet radio show on Cyberstationusa.com...Friday's
Child's performance on our show was stunning....unbelievable
sounds, smooth riff's, dynamic lyrics, complicated chord structures
that would please the most discriminating ear..Tom Walker
sports a Taylor guitar that sings and comes up with an acoustic
sound that I have never heard anyone else do...together with
Rick Ippolito (bass) and Dave Drzewiecki (drums) the trio
has a powerful sound that rocks tremendously. Their two cd's
"Boy Without a Name" and "Thirteen" are
a piece of excellent work. Rock-Art is probably the best characterization
for this group as they have worked in art with their rock
at an extremely high level. As I can go on about this group,
I will end this review with the following thought: Get their
cd's now!!!! and definitely go see their gigs as they will
truly entertain you... Best Wishes for this group as they
will go far in their music."

"Friday's
Child is an eclectic rock band with a strong Borders following. This
is their sophomore endeavour, and we just love them! They
have and old school 'modern rock' feel about them, and it
really comes through live. Track #1 is a cultural ' jab.'"

"Of
all the band's I've heard, Friday's Child's music is the most
universally accessible. Great music. Great lyrics. No pretension."

"High-powered and eclectic, this musical trio has taken
the New York scene by storm, inciting rave reviews and cultivating
an ever-growing fan base...The sound is stripped down to the
essentials with just the right amount of melody and brutal
reality."
Terry Lagerstedt, The Fairfield County Weekly
"It won't take you long to understand why Friday's Child
has become one of the most loved bands in the area. With incredible
energy, memorable lyrics, charm and charisma, the band delivers
their powerful sound, effortlessy creating a relationship
with any crowd."

"One
of the best albums in a long while..., January 22, 2001"
"Friday's Child is a wonderful and unique band that have
a lot of energy. They write original, good music and heart felt
lyrics. I just ADORE this band to death. Ever since I discovered
them, I haven't missed a show. The album is awesome as well.
It's one of the best I've heard in a long while--adding diversity
and originality to a time when, sadly, others sell out. I guarantee
you'll LOVE this album!"
"I can't begin to say just how much I love this CD...these
guys know their instruments, have great voices, and a ton of
energy! I've seen them perform many times at the Garden State
Plaza, and every time, I love them more and more. They write
good music that people can appreciate and are a true treasure
in today's world of 'lost music'."
"If you like Dave Matthews or Billy Joel, you'll love Friday's
Child. I've had this album for quite some time and have never
tired of hearing these songs. Tunes like 'The Path' and 'Icon'
have become the soundtrack to my life. 'North By Northeast'
is an amazing number. I've witnessed Friday's Child play this
song live at the Baggot Inn and the Lion's Den in NYC and it's
flat-out incredible. The way these three musicians handle their
instruments is nothing short of genius. One final note - Friday's
Child have recently released a six-song EP entitled '13' that's
just as masterful as this one. " |

"It's so nice to see a band creating their own sound! With
harmonious chord progressions and intriguing stories behind
every song, this cd has more emotion behind it then practically
my entire collection. I would recommend anyone who enjoys wonderfully
played acoustic guitar, and creative mind provoking lyrics to
purchase this cd. These guys are going far, I'm glad I got to
see them at a small performance while I still can! "

"Friday's Child rocks - period! Why aren't these guys signed
to a major label? Intelligent and playful lyrics combined with
skillful musicianship makes this trio a band to watch! They
also have a full length album called 'Boy Without A Name'." |
